Some say that when you wish upon a star, your wish will come true. As one elderly lady in Tláhuac gazes at the decorative stars that glow at night on her ceiling, while the wish that her husband, who recently passed away, will return can’t come true, her wish for help to repair the earthquake damage in her home just did. Our volunteers came to assess the extent of her needs, and console her tears of grief, now mixed with gratitude.
