Providing Hot Meals in Freetown

December 5, 2017

People

The Dockyard Culvert community in Freetown, Sierra Leone, arose near a landfill as people eke out a living from what they find there. However, with its proximity to a river and the ocean, severe floods keep recurring, threatening this fragile existence. Along with our local partners, Caritas Freetown and the Lanyi Foundation, we are continuing to provide long-term aid – in October 2017, we offered thousands of hot meals.
