The heartbreak of losing loved ones during the earthquake is still fresh, the economy has not recovered causing financial hardship, but the residents of San Gregorio are united and strong. Their fight to recover takes the form of helping each other in any way they can and giving without expecting anything in return – which is at the heart of Tzu Chi’s philosophy. Those who attended our local volunteer training felt right at home.
