Media Production Center

We’re looking for a full time “Storyteller”  to lead our Video Production Team. You will work closely with and report to the Director of the Media Production Center. You will lead the Video Production Team and collaborate with the Digital Content Team and Communications Strategist to accomplish the goals of the Media Production Center.  As a “Storyteller” you could act as film producer, director, camera operator, and editor. We are a charity non-governmental organization (NGO), so your position is more than a job, it’s a mission.


Your Responsibilities

  • Responsible for delivery of all video content, on budget and deadline.
  • Oversee video production workflow and quality.
  • Lead Video Production Team in selecting the most compelling and relevant content to tell the story.
  • Collaborate and coordinate with the Digital Content Team and Communications Strategist.
  • Maintenance and inventory of all camera equipment and accessories.


  • On top of current affairs and issues of global concern.
  • On top of trends in media production.
  • Committed to excellence in production quality.
  • Minimum 5 years experience in video producing, directing, and editing.
  • Must be a good communicator, team leader, and supervisor.
  • Capable of working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willing to travel on short notice, in the USA and internationally.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish).
  • Must reside in New York City and have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States.


  • Camera skills (SONY FS7 and A7s)
  • Editing skills (Adobe Premiere CC)


Commensurate upon experience.

Work Location

Tzu Chi USA Media Production Center located in Queens, New York.
