Maria Elena Suazo had never had a house of her own before, so when she received one from Tzu Chi Honduras it felt like a miracle. Alas, three years later, this resident of Villa Gran Amor (“Great Love Village”) passed away. But by then this community was like one large family, and everyone traveled together a distance several hours away to the place where she was born, to accompany her casket to burial and bid an emotional farewell.
