Tzu Chi’s Camp California: San Bernardino Food Drive

For residents of San Bernardino, the food drives that come to their community are extraordinarily helpful in offsetting the high cost of living. For the students of Tzu Chi’s summer camp, there is a sense of pride and duty that drives their service to the community. Food drive patron Yappa Adie-Ikor appreciates the influence it has on her children. “ I think it’s important for them to understand that it’s good to also give help, [and] by seeing other children around their age or a little bit older, it serves as an example for them. I think it’s a good thing for them to see.” In the words of Master Cheng Yen, “By giving, we receive the greatest gain.”
