Tzu Chi’s Camp California: The Curriculum

Tzu Chi’s summer camp provides a curriculum that incorporates everything from tolerance to technology, taking a hands-on and interactive approach to learning. “The summer camp is different because we expose these kids to a lot more things,” Tzu Chi teacher Ha’ale Kaiser explains. The program is designed to teach compassion for all living things, as well as character education to teach students how to manage their emotions. With academics and social development being a priority, Tzu Chi’s summer camp students receive the best of both worlds. In the words of Master Cheng Yen, “The beauty of a group lies in the refinement of its individuals.”
